WHY YOU SHOULD BRING YOUR WEDDING INVITATION ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

Your wedding day is going to be beautiful. It’s also going to be one of the busiest days of your life. With all the things running through your mind on your wedding day, your invite is probably one of the last items you’ll think of to bring with you but there are so many reasons why you should.

Your invite may seem like a small and insignificant item, but it can really help your wedding photographer. A wedding invitation tells a story, and it can be one of those items to help you remember all those special details of your day as well as allowing your wedding photographer to get to know you a little better. Your invitation can set the tone for the detail shots and tells a bit more about your theme and your day. A wedding invite can be especially useful if it features significant colours for your wedding day, or has beautiful fonts or images on it. Invites are generally featured in bridal detail shots and they can help to tie things together in a larger scheme of photographs really well. They are also really fun to photograph because they can be staged anywhere. You took the time to craft your invite, so you might as well showcase it in your wedding gallery!

I love when couples bring their invites because although it may seem like a small item, it can end up playing a large role in detail shots of my brides. Many times, couples don’t realize how big of a role it could play until after they receive their photographs and see the invitation in their gallery. It doesn’t matter what your invitation looks like, it can be captured and showcased in many ways.

So make sure your invite is handy on your wedding day. And if it is easier - mail it to me prior to the day! It’s small and simple to pack, so there’s really no reason you shouldn’t. Your photographer will thank you, and you’ll thank yourselves later.

You will be so happy that you did when you see your gallery.
