HOW TO CREATE A TIMELESS WEDDING STYLE THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS LOVE
Once you begin planning your wedding, you will start thinking about the overall theme, look and feel that you want to have for your wedding. You might want to create a rustic bohemian vibe or a timeless elegant vibe. There are so many different ways to style your wedding that represents you both as a couple.
I love seeing all the details come together on the day and have some tips to get you started if you are looking for a timeless and elegant feel to your wedding day.
There are so many things that factor into having a day that exudes sophistication and elegance. And there are so many pieces that you and your partner will begin discussing like colour themes, patterns, and combinations you never thought of before.
It is also important to remember that weather can have a huge impact. The time of year and the amount of light outside will also impact how your images look.
When you begin thinking about how to create a timeless wedding style, a couple of things may come to mind. Certain styles have been deemed classic, including your table settings and colour schemes. Remember, the ultimate goal is to make your wedding day the most incredible, memorable event that speaks to you as a couple.
If you're hoping to create a light and airy wedding, there are a few tips and tricks you need to consider to achieve the elegance you want. Some of them include:
Lighter backgrounds
Having a light background instead of a darker wall or exposed bricks will make all the difference. That's because the colour of the bricks will remove the feeling of airiness. So, if you want to achieve a light and bright feeling, then go with white! But, there are also taupe, beige, mint, light grey, and many other light colour options that can help you create the feeling of a timeless bride.
White marquee tents or certain venues such as Stapleford Park or Norwood Park have beautiful, light spaces which will allow you to have bright and light looking images.
Attire is everything
A crisp look is always well appreciated, and this is why choosing the right attire is one of the most important aspects of this day. A light and airy wedding venue may set the scene for a bright event, but you also need to really plan this out. This means focusing on some light-coloured options for yourself and your bridal party. Opt for bright white tones, ivory, beige, or even a luminous dress! Soft pinks, blue and sages are really great colours for your bridal party. For the groom, while I do love a white tuxedo, a black tuxedo will always lend itself to a classic, timeless and elegant style.
Luminous and light décor
Even though people claim that the décor is not the most important thing about a wedding day, it actually serves as the base for the entire event. If you get the decor right, the rest of the theme should be easy to achieve. So, when you ask yourself what to do in the quest of creating a timeless wedding style, definitely make sure that your centrepieces and table settings are classic and light as shown in the below photos.
Golden hour
While this is weather dependent and can sometimes be a challenge in the UK, Golden hour photos can really create stunning wedding portraits. I always recommend to my couples that we have two portrait sessions: one just after family formals and one around Golden Hour. The glow of Golden hour is something that elevates photos and creates stunning romantic and timeless portraits.
Ideal venues
Venues such as Stapleford Park, Norwood Park, and The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel are perfect if you want your wedding to revolve around excellent lighting and colour. Harlaxton Manor also has amazing spaces such as the orangery and stunning gardens that lend itself to a light and airy style. So, the next time you think about how to pull off a timelessly elegant wedding style, you will know to begin by looking further into these stunning event spaces!
