Of course, the Harlaxton Manor wedding venue would not be perceived in its full glory without a blushing bride at the centre of it all! I was lucky enough to be a part of one of the most wonderful photoshoots there. It took place in the Harlaxton Manor in January, and there are no words to describe the entire scenery and the outcome! The photos turned out breathtakingly beautiful and the entire estate truly helped in making that possible.
First off, there are so many rooms that are breathtaking from an architectural point of view. They proved to be the perfect setting because we were facing a serious weather issue. As it turned out, the weather decided to be bad, it was raining, and the borrowed gown and dresses could not be worn outside. As soon as everyone realised that the dresses are only to be worn indoors, we decided to mix things up and create a marvellous photoshoot inside! I managed to capture the wonderfulness of the entire manor and it resulted in some wonderful photos.
The goal for this photoshoot was timelessness and elegance. These two things combined were to be seen through the eyes of the wedding photographer, and I, as a Harlaxton Manor wedding photographer, did just that. Focusing on the deeper and darker tones, all the while incorporating some light softness with a tender pastel palette did something wonderful for us! A glamorous and luxurious feel with a touch of dramatic flair is just the right way to describe how anyone that wants to get married here would feel. This was enabled by the incredible vendors – the stylist was Sage and Belle Styling, the florist was Jacaranda Flowers, the stationery by Danielle Bleuse, the harpist was a Rutland Wedding Harpist, and the cake by Storybook Cakes.
For this photoshoot, we decided to truly focus on those details that make up for a stunning bride, so for the dress and all of the accessories, our style was elegant and romantic, with an ethereal touch of modern flair. This is the direction that was chosen because it just blended so well with the magnificent background from the halls, and the photos turned out to be a work of art. Some modern lace was added to the first look, and the focus of the second look was the bridal bustier that accentuated the waist. When talking about hair and makeup, everything was done stylishly, with elegance, since the accessories were handmade and one of a kind! The gowns were a true epitome of modern romance, by the one and only Rachel Ash, the hairstyle by Moira Borg complimented the whole look along with the makeup by Eve Bridal and perfectly crafted accessories by Megan Therese.
The same effort was put into preparing the suit for the groom. This is why it looked so luxurious too! A stunning textured blazer that is camera-ready at any moment, and a velvet fabric that is extremely soft to the touch. The details were carefully thought of so all of it could result in an unforgettable look. The suit was from Marc Darcy which actually gave the feel of having a real-life Mr Darcy!
Concept-wise, it was perfect! I could not stop looking at all the beautiful colours that were creating such an elegant scene. The Harlaxton Manor wedding venue is honestly one of the most wonderful places you could choose for your special day and photoshoot! And having the right team, such as this wonderful team of creatives, is one way to achieve that.
