TIPS FOR BOOKING YOUR DREAM WEDDING VENUE

Booking your wedding venue in the UK is one of the most important and difficult decisions. It carries one of the biggest expenses, so you must be very careful when selecting the place. You should also take into account that availability may vary from some places to others, you must take precautions and book it long in advance. For all these reasons, I would like to share with you the most essential tips for booking your dream wedding venue.

Consider the location and accessibility

Many couples decide to book a venue near the place where they live, but there are many options as to the location of the place of celebrations. You can opt for a beautiful hall in the countryside  or even, venture into a marriage in another town, or even in another country. For each option, you must take into account the origin of most of your guests – whether it is possible for your loved ones to attend. Furthermore, ensure that although the chosen place is several kilometres away, always have easy access routes and different possibilities to transport.

Think about the distance between the ceremony and the venue

Ideally, the ceremony will take place within walking distance of the venue or at the same venue. This will help your guests arrive without problems and won’t get lost, or spend a lot of time moving. Remember that not all have their own vehicle and you must have some alternative to help them with the transport if they do not have their own – if the venue is far.

Another option is that if you want a religious marriage, choose a place of celebration that has its own chapel, so you will avoid the inconvenience of the journey and all your guests will be much more comfortable. Know the entry protocols for your religious ceremony.

Ask for details before the big decision

Ask everything you need to know – the square metres, the type of construction, whether it has several lounges and gardens. Does it feature a pool or a cocktail area? You should be clear about how you want your celebration to unfold and plan all in advance. Maybe you are facing a space that really exceeds what you require – which also may prove to be more expensive. Keep an eye on all the alternatives and define your ideas so that you can find the ideal wedding venue.

Check if there are alternatives in case of bad weather

As with warm seasons, you always have to think of a second plan if something goes wrong. The weather can play a bad joke and if you are not prepared, the most important day of your life can become a nightmare. So, don’t let this happen, and ask them if they have a choice of roofing or some indoor space that can be enabled in case of rain, so you’ll know that nothing can ruin your big day.

In the East Midlands, there are some incredible wedding venues. In the Nottingham area, I have been lucky enough to capture weddings at Swancar Farm Country House, The Carriage Hall, Kelham House Country Manor and The Vicarage Boutique Hotel. I have also been lucky enough to capture some weddings at family homes and farms in the Nottingham area. I cannot wait to also capture some incredible weddings at Norwood Park and the Walled Garden in Beeston.

There are also two stunning locations in Lincolnshire to host your dream day are Stubton Hall wedding venue and Harlaxton Manor wedding venue. They offer luxurious spaces and incredibly affordable venue pricing for the value you get.
